Advania has taken a forward-leaning approach to sustainability by aligning early with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS)—well ahead of mandatory timelines. This decision signals a commitment to accountability, long-term thinking, and continuous improvement.

In 2024, we completed a Group-wide double materiality assessment, mapped risks across our value chain, and strengthened local ESG governance. We also expanded reporting practices to include areas not yet required, ensuring our sustainability data is decision-grade.

While many are still getting ready, Advania is already using CSRD as a tool to raise internal standards and deliver greater value—for customers, stakeholders, and society.

In 2024, Advania opened Dreamhouse, a state-of-the-art recommerce center in Enköping, Sweden. Built from reclaimed materials and powered by solar and geothermal energy, it redefines circular IT in action. Dreamhouse refurbishes million+ of used devices annually, significantly reducing e-waste while upholding strict data security standards.

As our most ambitious climate initiative, it’s vital to reaching net-zero by 2045. More than a facility, Dreamhouse is a platform for innovation, customer engagement, and industry leadership in sustainable IT. With this milestone, Advania is not only delivering on environmental goals—it’s helping customers lead their own sustainability transitions.

In 2024, Advania Sweden reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 25%, largely due to a decline in brand-new hardware sales—hinting at a positive shift as more customers explore refurbished alternatives. In parallel, Iceland has cut its emissions intensity (GEVA) by 49.5% since 2021, nearly reaching its 2030 target. With all markets now building transition plans, Advania is leveraging local success stories to scale results and stay on course to reach net-zero emissions by 2045.

Now, we’re scaling it across the Group, with all markets developing localized transition plans to ensure accountability and progress. We aim to reach net-zero emissions no later than 2045.

Data centers represent over 80% of Advania’s energy use—making energy efficiency critical.

In 2024, we ensured that 100% of our core data center operations in Sweden, Iceland, and Norway ran on renewable energy. Norway’s operations also improved efficiency through targeted cooling upgrades and closed two older facilities to consolidate demand. Finland and Denmark have set targets to follow suit by 2030.

Meanwhile, Advania UK increased its visibility and certification efforts to expand renewable sourcing. Across all regions, we’re combining green energy with smart infrastructure to reduce emissions while meeting the digital demands of our customers.

Advania’s sustainability promise extends beyond the environment—it includes digital safety.

In 2024, we launched a cross-market cybersecurity center of excellence, bringing together CISOs from across the Group to share insights and strengthen customer protection.

When a client in Sweden faced a serious breach in its own environment, Advania’s experts stepped in immediately. The affected systems were isolated, services restored, and close support provided throughout. Though not responsible for the incident, Advania’s response highlighted the strength of our security culture and customer-first mindset.

As threats grow more complex, our goal is clear: to become the most trusted cybersecurity partner in Northern Europe.

Working with Norwegian seafood producer Pelagia, Advania developed an AI-powered tool to optimize shipping routes. By integrating real-time data, the tool cut fuel usage by double-digit percentages—saving costs and significantly lowering CO₂ emissions.

This collaboration reflects our broader ambition to turn digital transformation into measurable climate action. Across our markets, we’re creating tools that help businesses not only operate more efficiently but also reduce their footprint. We believe the future of sustainability lies in partnerships that combine data, innovation, and shared purpose—and this project is a powerful example of that philosophy in action.
