Hildur Einarsdóttir Appointed CEO of Advania Iceland.
Hildur Einarsdóttir will step into the role of CEO of Advania Iceland on March 1. She brings a wealth of leadership experience, having spent 16 years at Embla Medical (formerly Össur), most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Research & Development. Hildur holds an executive education from Harvard Business School, a master's degree in biomedical engineering from Imperial College London, and an electrical engineering degree from the University of Iceland.
Ægir Thorisson Takes on New Role as Chief People Officer at Advania Group
Hildur succeeds Ægir Thorisson, who has successfully led Advania Iceland for the past decade. Ægir now moves into a new Group-level role as Chief People Officer (CPO) of Advania, where he will focus on strengthening the company's culture and developing talent across all markets in close collaboration with local HR teams.
“In essence, the core of my new assignment is to support the unique culture that we have created at Advania," says Ægir. "The key to our success over the past years has been to stay true to our core values. They revolve around two things: Customer Intimacy and Our Difference is You. Everything we do, every decision we make about the growth and progress of this company is rooted in these two principles. My task will be safeguarding this and supporting Advania's managers and employees in living these core values.”
